Terms
Terms of service
The agreement between you and Growthfolio, LLC, the company that operates SecondDoor. It covers what the service does, how a plan is billed, how to end one, and what the service does not promise.
Who you are agreeing with
These terms are the agreement between you and Growthfolio, LLC, a limited liability company at 6 Orchard Street, Concord, NH 03301, United States. SecondDoor is the product Growthfolio, LLC operates, and the entity named on your invoice. Throughout this page, we and us mean Growthfolio, LLC. Using this site, or holding an account on it, means you accept these terms.
What this is
SecondDoor scans a website and scores how far a human visitor and an AI agent each get through its funnel. It runs from the outside, over the public internet, with nothing installed on the site being scanned. The service is provided as is, with no warranty and no uptime commitment.
Your account
An account belongs to one person or one organisation. You are responsible for what happens under it and for keeping your sign in details to yourself. Give us an address you actually read, because it is how we reach you about a scan, a charge or a change to these terms. We can suspend an account being used outside this agreement, and we will tell you why.
Plans, billing and renewal
What each plan includes is set out on the pricing page, and the product enforces the same table it is printed from, so the two cannot disagree.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel a paid plan at any time from the account area, and the cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. Subscription fees already paid are not refunded, in whole or in part. The Door Gap Audit and consulting engagements are refundable in full only if you cancel before work begins. The refunds and cancellation policy forms part of these terms and sets all of this out in detail.
Reports are public
A scan produces a report at a public address that stays up unless the domain's owner asks us to retire it. Scanning from the site needs an account; the API allows anonymous basic scans within its rate limits. Anyone with the link can read the scores, the summaries and the issue titles. A report is not a ranking: only sites from our seed list and sites whose owner has proved they control the domain enter the Door Gap Index. Do not scan a site whose scores you are not willing to have published.
Acceptable use
Scan sites you operate, or sites you are evaluating as a customer or a competitor. Everything the scanner reads is already public, and the scanner obeys the robots.txt rules written against its own name. Scanning somebody else's site produces a report at its own address and does not place them in the index. Do not use the service to load-test a site you do not control: the scanner is rate limited and identifies itself, and circumventing either is out of bounds.
The analysis is not advice
A report is generated analysis of what one scan observed. It is not legal, security or financial advice, and a good score guarantees nothing. Check the evidence, which is why every score carries it.
What you own, and what we own
You keep everything that is yours: your website, your content, and your brand. We keep the software, the scoring method, and this site. A report about your site is yours to use, quote and publish. The index those reports form part of, and the aggregate research drawn from it, remain ours.
No warranty
The service is provided as is and as available. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, that any given scan will succeed, or that a score predicts anything about your business. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all implied warranties, including those of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, lost revenue or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Suspension and termination
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will say what the reason was. You can close yours at any time from Settings. Ending the agreement does not refund fees already paid, and reports that were already public stay public, because they were public when they were made.
Changes
The scoring method changes as it improves. Older reports keep the scores they were given, which is why every report is dated and why trends are only compared within a single scan depth. We can also change these terms. The version on this page is the one that applies, and a change affecting what you are charged, or what you are allowed to do, is sent to the address on your account before it takes effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute arising out of them goes to the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and both of us agree to that.
